Torch ride

For the opening of the ancient Olympic Games a traditionel torch run took place. The winner of the run had the credit to ignite the Olympic fire. We carried out a combined torch run and torch ride, the participants had the free choice between a mounted version and the classic run yourself. The participants got a map with the locations of the torches to bring along marked, placed in the surrondings of the stable. Everyone had to ride or run to one of these positions as fast as he could and return into the finish with the deposited torch. Symbolically the torch ride stood for the endurance riding of the world equestrian games.
